Our Caerphilly Bisnet Presentation on Free Website Tools Was a Success

Our presentation at the Caerphilly Bisnet Club on Tuesday 2nd December 2008 was a great success. The presentation, "How to Use Free Tools To Improve Your Website" was presented to local businesses by Laurence Cope with the aim of introducing the excellent free open source tools available on the internet that can be used to improve their websites.

The presentation covered the following topics:

  • Open Source Software
  • The Free Content Management System (Joomla)
  • Free Website Add-Ons Available for Joomla
  • A Demonstration

Caerphilly Bisnet is a free and independent ICT service provided by Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) to help local businesses apply IT solutions both in the office and online.

They provide advice on hardware, software, websites, ecommerce and internet applications. Demonstrations of Open Source and commercial applications are available in our ICT centre.
