Cloudflare Manager
A subscription web app that lets agencies and developers pause or unpause all their Cloudflare zones in seconds, instead of one website at a time.
The problem
Cloudflare sits in front of a huge number of websites, speeding them up and protecting them. Sometimes you need to pause it, for example when Cloudflare itself has a problem. Pausing sends visitors straight to the website's own server, so the site stays online.
In Cloudflare's own dashboard, you pause one website at a time. If you look after dozens of websites, that takes far too long when every minute counts.
What we built
A subscription web app that connects to a Cloudflare account and manages all of its websites at once:
- Pause or unpause every zone in one go, or pick individual ones
- API tokens encrypted and stored securely
- A log of every operation, so you can see what changed and when
- User accounts, with Free, Basic and Pro plans
- Subscription billing and monthly invoices through Stripe
- A built-in content management system for the marketing site, including a blog, page builder, menus and SEO settings
The result
Cloudflare Manager is a live product, with free and paid plans. The foundation we built for it, with accounts, subscriptions, billing, an admin panel and a CMS, is now something we can reuse. We used it as the starting point for Webdev Tools.
