Search Engine Optimisation or SEO as it's more commonly known; is defined as the "marketing process which focuses on the growth and visibility of your website on search engine e.g. Google". A lot of people find SEO marketing rather complex, so we thought we'd help you gain a better understanding of it and hopefully rank higher for keywords targeted at the same time.
We are often asked why new websites are not indexed in Google shortly after they go live. So this blog post aims to explain a couple of common reasons such as Google not indexing the site yet, or the site not optimised for the search phrase in question.

It is well known one of the most important techniques to increase rankings is backlinks. Google in fact started its ranking algorithm based on the number of other websites that have links to yours. Well I’ve jumped on the twitter bandwaggon and have started Twittering on at http://twitter.com/AmityWeb. I actually think I am quite late. I’ve found many successful Twitterers (?) that have been doing it for a couple of years now and have built up quite a reputation and following. I wish I started a couple of years ago. But now I am here I am trying to embrace the Twitter community with open arms and just hope I can provide some useful information (you will be pleased to know I don’t have a cat so you wont be getting updates on that!).
